My top three business books
Zero to One
By Peter Thiel. Peter Thiel co-founded PayPal and was involved in funding SpaceX and LinkedIn. From Peter, I am learning about creating something new and original which is important if you want to bring something new and fresh into the world. We only live once, and if you are simply copying a business model, there is a lot of competition out there.
One-word summary: fascinating.
Decision Quality: Value creation from better business decisions
By Carl Spetzler, Hanna Winter, and Jennifer Meyer. In my experience big businesses do not make great long-term decisions, it takes discipline and a systematic approach to draw out the best ideas and get the right people on board. This book provides the framework for making good business decisions and creating value.
One-word summary: helpful.
The 4-Hour Workweek: Escape 9-5, live anywhere, and joint the new rich
By Timothy Ferriss. As a founder and entrepreneur apparently I am 'rich' as I have better control of my work life and it is up to me (and you) to think of how to create unique business models, staff or organizations properly and enjoy life more.
One-word summary: humorous.
